When faced with old age and fading relevance, many celebrities panic. They botox their faces beyond recognition, date people half their age, and make many other desperate decisions that can be very uncomfortable for the rest of us to watch. Not Joey Fatone.
The former N Sync member has welcomed early retirement with a warm embrace and has decided to open up a hot dog stand called Fat One’s at The Florida Mall where hell remain handing out weiners next to an F. Y. E. until Lance Bass decides its time to put him out to pasture.
The name of the restaurant is a nod to his unfortunate last name and the good old boy band days when he was dubbed The Fat One of the group alongside three teenage beauties and extraterrestrial Chris Kirkpatrick. Its an acknowledgment that hes accepted his place in the world, thousands of miles away from the beaming success of Justin Timberlake, and just wants to sell some pork while he still has a few good years left. Its a beautiful thing.
Fatone recently told the that This is based on the fact that he grew up in Orlando, and he is basically just a giant hot dog of a human being.
The stand will open up in August, and though many of us would not be caught dead at this establishment, we can all take solace in the fact that Joey Fatone has found his true calling: serving up franks to old Floridians who have no idea who he is.
